Somit ist der \u00d6sterreicher seinem Traum, als erster Mensch im freien Fall die Schallmauer zu durchbrechen, einen wesentlichen Schritt n\u00e4her gekommen. Laut vorl\u00e4ufigen Auswertungen ist er mit dem \u00fcber 150.000 Kubikmeter gro\u00dfen Ballon auf eine H\u00f6he von 29.455 Meter aufgestiegen und hat in seinem 3:48 Minuten langen freien Fall eine Geschwindigkeit von 862 km\/h erreicht.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ngg_shortcode_0_placeholderROSWELL( New Mexiko). Nach dem erfolgreichen Test ist Felix Baumgartner sicher in der W\u00fcste New Mexicos gelandet, nur 15 Helikopter-Minuten vom Startplatz des Roswell International Air Centers entfernt. Mit viel Jubel wurde er vom Red Bull Stratos Team im Mission Control Center empfangen. \u201eWir alle sind heute sehr emotional. Nach einer Woche mit wechselnden Wetterbedingungen sind wir froh, heute den Start geschafft und Felix wieder hier bei uns zu haben. Das Team hat gro\u00dfartige Arbeit geleistet\u201c, freute sich Art Thompson, der technische Direktor von Red Bull Stratos.<\/p>\n<p>Auf Grund von Regen, Wind und Gewitterwolken musste der geplante Start zu Beginn der Woche bereits zwei Mal verschoben werden. Das Team aus f\u00fchrenden Luftfahrtexperten lie\u00df sich jedoch nicht aus der Ruhe bringen. Immerhin mussten sogar die Starts von Space Shuttles schon um Tage nach hinten verlegt werden. Der erfolgreiche Testsprung ist ein Beweis daf\u00fcr, dass sich die Geduld ausgezahlt hat.<\/p>\n<p>Der Ballon f\u00fcr Baumgartners finalen Sprung wird die H\u00f6he eines Wolkenkratzers erreichen. Um das extrem d\u00fcnne Material der H\u00fclle nicht zu gef\u00e4hrden, darf der Wind am Startgel\u00e4nde eine St\u00e4rke von sechs Kilometern pro Stunde nicht \u00fcbersteigen. Planung und Zeitpunkt des finalen Sprunges sind abh\u00e4ngig von der bevorstehenden Wettersituation in Roswell und der Analyse des Equipments.<\/p>\n<p>Der zweite bemannte Testflug, bei dem der Ballon um das Vierfache gr\u00f6\u00dfer war als beim ersten Test, ergab neue Aufschl\u00fcsse \u00fcber den Ablauf der Mission sowie wertvolle wissenschaftliche Daten f\u00fcr die Raumfahrt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eEs waren durchwachsene Tage und eine anstrengende Herausforderung. Jetzt bin ich \u00fcbergl\u00fccklich. Das war immer ein gro\u00dfer Traum von mir, jetzt fehlt nur noch ein letzter Schritt\u201c, erkl\u00e4rte Baumgartner nach seiner Landung.<\/p>\n<p>Laut derzeitigen Auswertungen \u2013 die Daten werden erst in den kommenden Tagen offiziell best\u00e4tigt \u2013 hat Felix Baumgartner mit 29.455 Metern den Russen Yevgeny Andreyev (25.458 Meter) \u00fcbertroffen und ist somit einer von zwei Menschen, die einen Sprung aus einer solchen H\u00f6he geschafft haben.
