So werden zum Beispiel s\u00e4mtliche Flugzeuge heuer mit Einheits-Motoren und -Propellern ausgestattet.<\/p>\n<p>Zudem sind die aufblasbaren Pylonen (&#8222;Air Gates&#8220;) nun aus einem leichteren Nylonmaterial gefertigt, damit sie beim Durchschneiden mit der Tragfl\u00e4che noch leichter platzen. Und auch die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der &#8222;Air Gates&#8220; wurde ge\u00e4ndert &#8211; zuk\u00fcnftig m\u00fcssen die Piloten sie in einer H\u00f6he von 20 bis 25 Metern \u00fcber dem Boden passieren.<\/p>\n<p>Mit einem neuerlichen Triumph in diesem Jahr will Paul Bonhomme, der Champion der Jahre 2009 &amp; 2010, als erster Pilot in der Geschichte des Red Bull Air Race den Titel-Hattrick schaffen. Seine Konkurrenz ist allerdings stark: Zu den Mitfavoriten z\u00e4hlen u.a. der US-Amerikaner Kirby Chambliss, Doppel-Weltmeister der Jahre 2004 &amp; 2006, sowie der \u00d6sterreicher Hannes Arch, Champion 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Weitere Starter sind Nigel Lamb (GBR), Matt Hall (AUS), Peter Besenyei (HUN), Nicolas Ivanoff (FRA), Michael Goulian (USA), Matthias Dolderer (GER), Yoshi Muroya (JPN), Pete McLeod (CAN) oder Martin Sonka (CZE).
