Als Ersatz f\u00fcr das nicht realisierbare Rennen in China, kehrt das Red Bull Air Race nun zu seinem Ursprung zur\u00fcck.<br \/>\n\u201eIch finde es fantastisch, dass der Showdown in dieser Saison in \u00d6sterreich stattfindet\u201c, sagt Hannes Arch. Der \u00d6sterreicher f\u00fchrt die WM derzeit vor Titelverteidiger Paul Bonhomme aus Gro\u00dfbritannien sowie Pete McLeod (Kanada) und Nigel Lamb (Gro\u00dfbritannien) an. \u201eIn \u00d6sterreich und den angrenzenden europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern ist die Begeisterung f\u00fcr Motorsport und auch Air Racing gro\u00df. Das haben wir erst k\u00fcrzlich beim Rennen im kroatischen Rovinj erleben d\u00fcrfen. F\u00fcr mich w\u00fcrde ein Traum in Erf\u00fcllung gehen, wenn ich in meinem Heimatland die WM gewinnen w\u00fcrde.\u201c<br \/>\nDie acht Stationen umfassende Red Bull Air Race Weltmeisterschaft 2014 feierte ihren Auftakt im M\u00e4rz in Abu Dhabi, es folgten Stopps in Rovinj (Kroatien) im April und in Putrajaya (Malaysia) im Mai. Die weiteren Stationen sind Gdynia (Polen, 26.\/27. Juli), Ascot (Gro\u00dfbritannien, 16.\/17. August), Dallas\/Fort Worth (USA, 6.\/7. September) und Las Vegas (USA, 11.\/12. Oktober) sowie das abschlie\u00dfende Finale im \u00f6sterreichischen Spielberg. Der Spielberg-Stopp ist das insgesamt 58.
