Bei 40 Grad Celsius und schwierigern  Windverh\u00e4ltnissen wurden die Qualit\u00e4ten der Piloten auf der 5.640 Meter  langen Strecke voll gefordert.<br \/>\nIn einem turbulenten Rennen holte sich der amtierende Weltmeister  Paul Bonhomme (Bild) den Sieg vor seinem britischen Landsmann Nigel Lamb  und Routinier Peter Besenyei (HUN). Bonhomme kassierte damit auch zw\u00f6lf  Punkte f\u00fcr die Gesamtwertung.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr den amtierenden Vize-Weltmeister Hannes Arch endete das Rennen  mit einer Entt\u00e4uschung. Der \u00d6sterreicher wurde wegen gef\u00e4hrlichen  Fliegens von der Jury disqualifiziert.
